SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:DISC:CALIPER

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 RAV4 and 2025 Lexus NX vehicles. Some of the bolts that secure the front brake caliper and the wheel hub bearing may be loose, which can result in a damaged caliper brake hose or possible wheel detachment.

On 12/24/25 I was pulling into a parking space, took foot off accelerator to brake and vehicle suddenly accelerated and engine revved. I kept pushing the brake, but the vehicle kept lurching forward and slammed into car parked in front of me before finally stopping. My vehicle was going so hard forward that it pushed the car I hit 2 to 3 feet out of it's parking space and even punctured the radiator. It was not raining, the floor mat was not in the way, I did not have cruise control engaged.

The vehicle's dashboard and 9.5" screen go blank while driving down the road. It is random at times and you have no idea how fast you are traveling, viewing screen, etc.. It just goes completely black. The Certified Toyota dealer says that there is a recall on the 12.5" screens blacking out randomly but not on the 9.5" screens so the vehicle does not qualify for the recall and Toyota is saying they don't have a fix for the vehicle. Have tried to contact higher level Toyota contacts (claims)

The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at approximately 35 MPH, she had crossed an intersection when she was crashed into by another vehicle making a U-turn from a cross street. Vehicle rolled backwards in reverse while brake pedal was pressed all the way down. Claim was filed with Toyota. After two months, they have said it is a non-issue.

I have had multiple instances where the vehicle has failed to accelerate when making a left hand turn. Each time this has occurred, my car has rolled into the intersection from a stop at a small decline, but the gas seems to do nothing. My car silently rolls forward and then I have no power or gas and am trapped with no acceleration. I’m worried this is going to get me into an accident and seriously injured. It does not happen super often, but enough that I know there is a problem. D
