THE FIBERGLASS MATERIAL UNDER THE HOOD CAUGHT ON FIRE AT HIGH TEMPERATURE ENGINE OPERATION. THE MATERIAL WAS OLD AND FRAYED. AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CAUGHT FIRE AS A RESULT. I NOTIFIED NISSAN AND THEY HAVE BEEN RELUCTANT TO HELP ME. THEY OFFERED TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AT A CHARGE (BY PHONE). WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALER, THEY SAID THEY DIDNT WANT TO TOUCH IT AND THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. I ASKED NISSAN IF THERE WAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE INSULATION, OR RECALL INFO AND THEY REPLIED
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION. THE DRIVERS AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND AS A RESULT THE DRIVER SUSTAINED SECOND DEGREE BURNS TO THE FACE. *NLM *SCC
WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH DRIVERS AIR BAG DEPLOYED FOR NO KNOWN REASON, DRIVER WAS INJURED ON RIGHT ARM AND CHEST AREA, DEALER WAS NOTIFIED.*AK
THIS WAS A FRONT END COLLISION THAT OCCURED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED IN WHICH THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. WE CONTACTED NISSAN THEY DIDN'T SEEM INTERESTED AND SENT SOME LITERATURE TO US. WE HAVE A STATEMENT FROM THE AUTO SHOP IT WAS TOWED TO IN WHICH THE OWER STATED THE AIR BAG SHOULD HAVE WENT OFF. THE CAR WAS TOTALLED AND THIS WAS OUR 3RD MAXIMA. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS WILL SADLY BE OUR LAST. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT NISSAN DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE AIR BAG NOT DEPLOYING.

WHILE DRIVING UNDERCARRIAGE OF VEHICLE HIT THE ROAD AND DRIVER'S AIRBAG DEPLOYED, CAUSING A CRASH AND INJURIES. MANUFACTURER SAID AIRBAG WAS SUPPOSE TO DEPLOY IN UNDERCARRIAGE IMPACT. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
WHILE CHANGING BATTERY UNDER FRONT HOOD OF MY VEHICLE, WITHOUT WARNING, HOOD SLAMMED SHUT HITTING ME IN HEAD AND INJURING MY NECK. HOOD IS HELD UP BY 2 HYDRAULIC PISTONS. INJURIES INCLUDE SIGINIFICANT DISCOMFORT IN NECK.
WHEN HIS WIFE PARKED VEHICLE SHE SAW SMOKE COMING OUT UNDER HOOD, AND VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE COMPLETLY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME TO THE SCENE, BUTTHEY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THE FIRE STARTED. DEALER NOR MANUFACTRURER WERE CONTACTED. *AK
