Drivers side seat heater switch caught fire and burned winter jacket sleeve. Fire was extinguished before car was lost.

My son was involved in an accident this weekend. A car pulled out in front of him and he hit them going between 45 and 55 MPH. None of his airbags deployed in his 2014 nissan altima. He had his seat belt on, but instead of the airbag keeping him from hitting the steering wheel like it should we ended up in the ER with chest pain. The visibility of the headlamps at normal brightness are very dim. I have read about numerous lawsuits regarding this, including a class action, but when I have gone to the dealer with the information postcard that I received in the mail, I am told by Nissan that I am "outside of the window" to have them replaced with newer brighter lamps. I was driving on the interstate and a deer struck my vehicle going approximately 60-65 mph. None of the airbags deployed.The sensor lights were not on and did not indicate any airbag sensor issues. The incident damaged the radiator and my vehicle had to be towed. I could have potentially suffered a serious physical injury.
