DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT THE CONSUMER STRUCK A DEER AND EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY STOPPING WITH THE BRAKES. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE FRONT HOOD AND HEADLIGHTS. NO POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. HE DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME. UPON INSPECTION THERE WAS CORROSION ON BRAKE LINES. HE SUSPECTED THIS WAS DUE TO DISSIMILAR METAL CORROSION AND ROAD SALTS. POWER STEERING HOSE FAILED. FLUID POURED OUT ON TO VERY HOT CATALYTIC CONVERTER, PRODUCING FIRE IN REAR OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT. EXTINGUISHED QUICKLY BUT DAMAGE TO WIRING, VACUUM LINE. VERY DANGEROUS FOR POWER STEERING LINE WITH FLAMMABLE FLUID TO PASS DIRECTLY OVER CATALYT CONVERTER.*AK

UPON TURNING INTO A CAR WASH CONSUMER SHIFTED TRANSMISSION INTO DRIVE AND VEHICLE ACCELERATED BY ITSELF, CAUSING VEHICLE TO RUN INTO A FENCE AND DROP DOWN THREE FEET INTO A HOUSE. CONSUMER'S FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKES WHEN HE SHIFTED VEHICLE INTO DRIVE. *AK
