TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCURY MILAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT AND THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CAUSED MINOR DAMAGE. ONCE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, THE CAR DID NOT STOP AS SOON AS IT SHOULD HAVE AND HIT THE OTHER CAR. AFTERWARDS, ANYTIME I HAD TO TRY TO STOP, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE IT WOULD STOP. THE FIRST TIME, I TOOK IT TO BE LOOKED AT AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BRAKES WERE FINE. UPON LIFTING THE CAR'S HOOD THE ELECTRICAL BURNING SMELL WAS OVERWHELMING AND SMOKE WAS STREAMING FROM THE #4 CYLINDER IGNITION COIL. CAREFULL
