It was stop and go traffic and the car in front of me remained stopped after traffic resumed moving forward, I moved forward with the traffic and the front end of my car impacted another car in a car crasdh. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 MERCEDES-BENZ GLK350. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 12 AND 18 MPH, THE DRIVER REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER RUPTURED DISCS TWO THROUGH SEVEN IN THE NECK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. I WAS BACKING MY VEHICLE INTO A SPOT ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AND WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN "DRIVE" TO PULL FORWARD, THE CAR LUNGED FORWARD . I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES AND WHEN THE CAR KEPT ON GOING, I PRESSED THE PARKING BRAKE AND PUT THE CAR IN "PARK". THE CAR ENDED UP JUMPING THE SIDEWALK AND HITTING THE POSTS AND GARAGE OF A HOUSE. I DID NOT PRESS THE ACCELERATOR BY MISTAKE. I DO HAVE A WITNESS WHO WAS ON THE SIDEWALK AT THE TIME WHO WATCHED ME DURING THE ORDEAL.
