THE BATTERY WENT DEAD. CONSUMER HAD TO JUMP THE VEHICLE. THE CABLES GOT CROSSED, CAUSING A SHORT WHICH LED TO A FIRE. THE ECM CHIP BURNED COMPLETELY. TOOK VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC, AND WAS TOLD THE ECM CHIP SHOULD HAVE NEVER BURNED. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PROTECTIVE COVER. CONTACTED CHRYSLER, WHO WILL DO NOTHING ASSIST THE CONSUMER. *AK
VIN: [XXX] 1995. I WAS NOTIFIED OF A RECALL ON THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR MY 1995 JEEP WRANGLER. ON OCTOBER 8, 2003 I TOOK IT TO THE FARICY BOYS CHRYSLER JEEP IN COLORADO SPRINGS FOR REPAIR. ON NOVEMBER 21, 2003 MY CAR WHILE WARMING UP IN THE DRIVEWAY ROLLED OUT OF THE PLACE ACROSS THE STREET AND INTO THE NEIGHBORS FENCE. THE BRAKE PEDAL RELEASED AND WAS TO THE FLOOR WHEN MY DAUGHTER PULLED IT BACK INTO THE DRIVEWAY. WE CALLED FARICY AND LET THEM KNOW THE BRAKE PEDAL FAILED AND THAT WE WOULD BE

EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE FAILED WHILE PARKED ON A HILL IN A PARKING LOT. WITNESS HEARD A LOUD "POP" AND WITNESSED THE VEHICLE ROLLING DOWN THE PARKING LOT AND STRIKING ANOTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I ARRIVED AND SEPARATED THE VEHICLES, I PLACED THE PARKING BRAKE IN SERVICES AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. AS SOON AS I TOOK TWO STEPS FROM THE VEHICLE I HEARD A LOUD POP, AND THE PARKING BRAKE HAD RELEASED AGAIN. *AK
THE JEEP WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE UNEXPECTEDLY RELEASED, CAUSING THE JEEP TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVEWAY, ACROSS THE STREET, DOWN AN EMBANKMENT AND INTO A CONCRETE PORCH. THE BRAKE HAD BEEN CHECKED BY A MECHANIC TWO MONTHS EARLIER FOR A SIMILAR SPONTANEOUS RELEASE WITH NO WORN PARTS FOUND OR ANY DAMAGE TO THE MECHANISM.*AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND EMERGENCY BRAKE DID NOT ENGAGE, VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARDS INTO AN UNOCCUPIED SCHOOL BUS. MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. FEEL FREE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS ON THIS MATTER. *AK
