TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 JEEP COMPASS. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE TURNED LEFT WITHOUT YIELDING THE RIGHT OF WAY. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SLAMMED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND REAR ENDED THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT FAILED TO ENGAGE AND ALL THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON COMPLAINTS OF THE ENTIRE JEEP COMPASS LINE AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. MY JEEP COMPASS 2010 STALLS RANDOMLY WHEN I DRIVE AND IS A MAJOR HAZARD. 2 MECHANICS INCLUDING A LOCAL DEALER ARE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM (WHICH IS A COMMON THEME IN ALL OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE JEEP COMPASS). VERY HOT DAY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. DRIVING NORTH OF I-15 FREEWAY. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I OWNED THE CAR (ORIGINAL OWNER) I PLACED THE A/C BLOWER CONTROL SWITH IN POSITION 4 (MAX POSITION).
