The instrument cluster (digital speed display) on my 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Limited has repeatedly turned off while driving. This issue happens randomly, especially in warm weather or after the car has been sitting in the sun. Sometimes the cluster reboots (I hear the start-up chime, the display shows the headlight icon, etc.), other times it remains blank for several minutes. When ABS engages briefly on a wet surface, there is an incomplete transition from regenerative braking to friction brakes, resulting in a hard pedal that does not actually engage the brakes. This is very dangerous and I have experienced this loss of braking force multiple times when stopping in the rain and a tire is on a slippery manhole cover or crosswalk line. 20201028CrashSEAT BELTS

THE CAR WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN WE WERE STRUCK FROM BEHIND BY A FORD F150. WE WERE PUSHED INTO THE STOPPED VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US (VERY MINOR DAMAGE IN FRONT). I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND MY HEAD BOUNCED OFF OF THE DASHBOARD. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE SEAT BEHIND THE DRIVER AND HER HEAD WAS BOUNCED OFF THE BACK OF THE DRIVERS SEAT. THE SEAT BELTS KEPT US IN OUR SEATS BUT THE SHOULDER BELTS FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE CAR HAS SINCE BEEN TOTALED DUE TO DAMAGE FROM THE REAR.
