TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1998 HONDA PASSPORT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH AND ATTEMPTING A RIGHT TURN, THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARRANT AND CRASHED INTO A DITCH. THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AND THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED TO ROLL OVER ON ITS WHEELS. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. I WAS DRIVING MY 1998 HONDA PASSPORT AT A SPEED OF 35 MPH ON A CLEAR DAY, ON A STRAIGHT LEVEL ROAD. THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE CLEAR AND THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE GOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH NO PRIOR ACCIDENTS. AT ONE POINT A VEHICLE CUT IN FRONT OF ME AND I RAN INTO THE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE HONDA WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY! I SUSTAINED SEVERE INJURIES TO MY NECK. IF THE AIRBAGS HAD DEPLOYED I WOULD NOT HAVE SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES. NOTHING WAS DONE TO

I FOUND OUT THAT THE ANTI-SKID BRAKE SYSTEM ON MY CAR HAD PROBLEMS, WHICH COMES WITH A RECALL BY NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY. I CONTACTED MY DEALER(HONDA) BUT I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR IS NOT COVERED. I READ YOUR RECALL HISTORY, WHICH INDICATES THAT MY CAR BELONGS TO THOSE HAVING THIS PROBLEM LATELY. LAST FEBRUARY, MY INTAKE GASKET FAILED, AND MY MECHANIC WAS TOLD BY THE HONDA PARTS MANAGER THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY YEAR PASSPORT. THE GASKETS WERE FAULTY. I WROTE A LETTER TO HONDA AND WAS DISMISSED BECAUSE MY WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THIS FEBRUARY, I WAS LOSING OIL AND ANTIFREEZE. I TOOK MY PASSPORT TO MY MECHANIC AND FOUND THAT, ALTHOUGH I REGULARLY CHANGED MY OIL AND THE ENGINE IS EXTREMELY CLEAN, THE HEAD IS CRACKED AND THE VALVES ARE WORN OUT. AGAIN, MY MECHANIC TALKS TO T

I OWN A 1998 HONDA PASSPORT. I WAS LEAVING MY APARTMENT COMPLEX AND AS I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN WHICH LEADS TO A HIGHWAY, MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP WHLE BRAKING. THOUGH I WAS NOT SPEEDING MY BRAKE PEDAL WAS RESISTING AND FELT HARD AS I PRESSED THE BRAKE MORE FIRMLY. I ENDED UP PARTIALLY IN THE HIGHWAY AND AN ONCOMING CAR SLAMMED INTO ME ON THE DRIVER SIDE TOTALLING MY SUV. THE STREET WAS WET FROM RAIN. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES. THE DEALER FOUND NOTHING WRONG BECAUSE THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE DUPLICATED ON DEMAND. LAST WEEK WHEN SLOWLY MAKING A RIGHT-HAND TURN INTO A NEIGHBORS DRIVE, THE BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED CAUSING A CRASH. *AK
