2014 GMC TERRAIN

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles. The ball joints in the windshield wiper module may corrode, causing one or both windshield wipers to fail.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2017 GMC Terrain vehicles. A reflection caused by the headlight housings may illuminate areas above the vehicle and outside of the driver's view with excessively bright light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal

The contact owned a 2014 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light a vehicle one rear-ended the vehicle. This caused the contact to crash into in front of her. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact sustained back and neck injuries. Medical attention was needed. Additionally, the driver of vehicle three received medical attention with unknown injuries. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.

None of the Airbags deployed in my 2014 GMC TERRIAN when I was in an accident.was struck very hard on rear passenger side spun around and hit a tree head one.

I was in a pretty nasty single vehicle accident. I had my seatbelt on and it DID NOT LOCK on impact as should. It was like I didn’t even have a seatbelt on. I had free range of motion which meant I was pretty much just being bounced around with the airbags and could of went through the windshield it was that bad.

Headlights- melted plug causing fire damage on both headlights, replaced with new headlights and bulbs as well as a new wire harness plug. Was driving smelt smoke/wires burning. Wipers- stop preforming during rain storm Southeastern NC on hwy 701 south on 3-24-22. And still does not work. Maybe be associated with older model terrain recall. Same happen to this model.

The front passenger airbag activated but did not deploy during a front end crash. There was a puff of smoke and it smelled like the airbag deployed but it did not. The vehicle also showed “service air bag” on the information area of the dash display. The hazards came on and would not turn off as well.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 GMC TERRAIN. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT SWERVED TO AVOID A DEER. AS A RESULT, SHE DROVE OFF THE ROAD INTO A TALL GRASS AREA AND STRUCK A CONCEALED CABLE BOX. THE PASSENGER SIDE GRILL WAS DAMAGED AND THERE WAS A SMALL DENT ON THE HOOD. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ALTHOUGH THE AIR BAG INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. I HAVE A 2014 GMC TERRAIN SLT THAT WHEN THE LIFT GATE IS OPENED IT GOES ALL THE WAY OPEN, DROPS CLOSED ABOUT 1/4 OF THE WAY AND THEN OPENS FULLY AGAIN, THEN WITH POWER CLOSES-SLAMS SHUT. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED 3 DAYS AGO, IT HIT ME IN THE HEAD AND KNOCKED ME TO THE GROUND. I CALLED DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT FROM AND THE TECK THERE SAID THERE WERE NO NOTED PROBLEMS OR RECALLS FOR THE "TERRAIN" MODELS AND I SHOULD COME IN AND JUST HAVE BOTH THE LEFT SIDE ACTUATOR AND THE RIGHT SIDE GAS STR

THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE PRESENT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A COLLISION LOT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,448.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS A STOP SIGN. IT WAS UNKNOWN IF A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,248.
