ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 5.3L (RPO L59) V8 ENGINES, THE ENGINE FUEL RAIL CROSSOVER TUBE RETAINER SCREWS WERE NOT MANUFACTURED TO SPECIFICATIONS AND MAY BREAK.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE BUMPER, RADIATOR, ENGINE, AND TRANSMISSION WERE DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 9,000.
