WHILE DRIVING MY 2000 GMC JIMMY MY GIRLFRIEND WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. SHE CAME AROUND A CORNER AND HAD TO COME TO A QUICK STOP, WHEN SHE HIT THE BRAKES THE PEDAL WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND SHE HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HER. AFTER THE INCIDENT I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC, AND HE FOUND THE STEM THAT COMES OFF THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD BROKEN OFF. THE AIR BAGS NEVER CAME OUT TO PROTECT US FROM THE IMPACT. THE JIMMY WAS NEVER IN A WRECK PRIOR TO THIS SO THE AIR BAGS HAD NEVER BEEN USED. THEY FAILED.*AK
THE 13 YEAR OLD IN THE BACK SEAT BEHIND THE PASSENGER WAS BUCKLED. THE IMPACT HAPPEND ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BEHIND THE DRIVER'S SEAT (SO OPPOSITE OF THE CHILD). SOME HOW HE WAS SUSPENED BY THE SEATBELT IN THE BACK OF MY TRUNK. HE BENT THE HEAD REST IN HALF, AND THE SEAT WAS STILL IN PLACE. HE STILL WAS BUCKLED AND SOME HOW HE ENDED UP IN THE TRUNK. HE IS ALIVE AND HAS A FEW BRUISES AND SEATBELT BURNS AROUND HIS STOMACH AREA, BUT IT IS A MIRACLE HIS BACK AND NECK ARE OKAY.
