TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE AS IT TRIED TO ENTER THE INTERSTATE FROM A RAMP. THE CONTACT AND HER PASSENGER QUICKLY EXITED THE VEHICLE AFTER SHE PULLED OFF TO THE SHOULDER. THE COMPLETE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED BY THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THE CONTACT WAS THE ONLY ONE TRANSPORTED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND WAS GIVEN A CAT SCAN. THERE WERE NO OTHER INJURIES .THE CONTACT HAD NOT SPOKEN TO THE DEALER O

DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS HAVE OVERHEATED ON BOTH SIDES AND HAVE MELTED THE PLASTIC HOUSING. THE LIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY HOT IN A CONFINED SPACE AND ARE IN VERY CLOSE PROXIMITY TO A FLAMMABLE MATERIAL. I NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE HEADLIGHT AND SAW THAT IT HAS MELTED THE HOUSING TO THE POINT WHERE THE BULB IS NOW SITTING DIRECTLY ON THE MELTED PLASTIC HOUSING. THESE ARE THE RUNNING LIGHTS....NOT THE MAIN HEADLIGHTS.

PASSENGER SIDE DOORS WERE OPEN AND AS THE VEHICLE ROLLED , THE DOORS HIT MY POUCH CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER DOORS. MY CHILDREN HAD TO JUMP OUT OF THE WAY TO AVOID BEING RAN OVER. THERE IS A SERIOUS DEFECT ON 2011 ACADIA AND THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. I NEED FOR GMC TO FIX THIS
