Transmission switching gears (downshifting)at highway speeds to lower gears causing the rear wheels to slide on pavement. Transmission will occasionally get stuck in 3rd or 5th gear at red lights causing dangerous interactions in intersections where the truck will not get upto speed fast enough to keep up with flow of traffic.
On July 18, 2025, I was fueling my vehicle at COSTCO. I put my vehicle in park, exited and left the door open while I waited for my credit card to clear so I could start fueling my vehicle. I was out of the vehicle for about a minute when the vehicle started to move backwards. I was standing between the open door and the drivers seat and was startled when it began to move. The wiring for the rear defrost caught fire. A week later it caused the rear glass to completely shatter. We didn't know it was the rear defrost wiring until we had the glass replaced and were able to see the wires fried. I have farm animals and routinely leave my 3 children in their carseats in the truck with it running when it's cold outside and I feed our animals. This is a MAJOR issue with Ford F150s. I am not sure how this was never a recall. Ford issues a TSB for this but NOTHING is the TSB fixes the issue. There is a major fault in the IWE system that causes the 4x4 to engage randomly causing the truck to have major steering issues. On April 28th, 2023 at approx. 1800 this Ford F-150 malfunctioned yet again. While traveling east on Interstate I-70 in a construction zone near Saint Clairsville, OHIO, this F-150 was set on cruise speed for the construction zone. This F-150 shifted from 8th gear down to 3rd gear. This uncommanded and unprompted change of speed injured my neck and nearly ended my family's life and the lives of others. The 18 wheeler carrying thousands of gallons of fuel behind me NEARLY clipped my rear end.

The Right Rear Light underneath the brake light caught fire and exploded.
Brakes slowly stop holding while at a stop for too long; such as at a red light or waiting for a train, and takes more force from driver to stop vehicle. After inspecting the braking system I found brake fluid leaking between the brake booster and master cylinder. With a little investigating I found Ford already recalled the same part number for other F150 trucks but mine was not in that group from the same model year. The current recall needs to be expanded to cover every truck with that part
Yesterday evening, 8/13/2022, I had my family in the F150 TRUCK. We were traveling at 77 mph (in a 70 mph zone) on toll route 576 enroute to Pittsburgh Airport. The F150 TRUCK was on cruise control (this time) when it downshifted from 10th gear to 1st gear. My neck is very sore, now. It continued to mis-shift although no service light illuminated this time.
