AFTER GETTING HOME FROM A TRIP, I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING ABOUT 2 HOURS AFTER WE'D BEEN HOME. I WALKED AROUND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS AND WHEN I WALKED OUTSIDE, I SAW FLAMES COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE HOOD OF OUR 1995 F-150. MY HUSBAND WENT OVER TO THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TO OPEN IT SO HE COULD RELEASE THE HOOD LATCH, GET THE HOOD UP AND PUT OUT THE FIRE. WHEN HE DID THAT, THE OXYGEN FROM OPENING THE DOOR IGNITED THE FLAMES EVEN MORE AND THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK JUST WENT UP IN FLAMES
