As my wife was driving down the interstate, the car began shuddering. She pulled off, and the shuddering became very bad at about 30 MPH. The car flashed an error code which turned out to be the transmission. 2 Ford dealerships recommended a full transmission replacement for $10,800.

The APIM has a known software issue that blanks out the main display and control screen. While not a safety issue for the Radio. It Does eliminate the climate control system.
