Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the driver's frontal air bag may unexpectedly deploy if the air bag wiring harness gets chafed within the steering wheel and short circuits.

Chrysler Group, LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured August 25, 2010, through October 31, 2013. The affected vehicles may experience overheating of the vent window switch in the driver's door armrest.

While driving my vehicle at highway speed (75mph), the driver's seat headrest, for lack of a more descriptive term, exploded and struck me in the back of my head. After the incident I stopped the vehicle and looked at the headrest. It appears to be spring loaded and something in the headrest failed causing it to spring forward for no reason. The contact was able to pull off to the side of the road where she saw smoke emerging from the front of the vehicle. Upon exiting the vehicle, the contact opened the hood to see the fire behind the engine. The fire department was contacted and was able to extinguish the fire. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact has not notified a local dealer
