WE HAVE A 1993 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY MINI VAN, AND DISCOVERED A FEW YEARS AGO ABOUT A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM THESE HAVE, WET OR EVEN DAMP, THE BELTS WILL BE THROWN OFF THE ENGINE CAUSING EVERYTHING FROM NO CHARGING TO LOSING YOUR POWER STEERING. I GUESS THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS ABOUT , BUT WILL NOT CORRECT. ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS TO REPLACE THE SMOOTH PULLEY BELT ADJUSTER, TO A PULLEY WITH SIDES THAT KEEP IT ON................MY PROBLEM, MY WIFE NEARLY WRECKED RECENTLY WHEN THE BELT

I HAVE HAD MY ABS PUMP REPLACED 4 TIMES UNDER THE RECALL. MOST OF THE TIME THE FILTER ALSO MUST BE REPLACED. WE HAVE SPENT ALMOST $500 ON THIS RELATED REPAIR. WHEN I CALLED THE CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE LINE I WAS TOLD THEY HAD A "COMMITMENT NOT TO ASSIST" AND THAT "THEY WILL NOT HELP". THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. TO NOT PROVIDE ANY RECOURSE ON THIS IS PATHETIC. IN ADDITION TO COSTING US ADDITIONAL MONEY, THIS FAILURE HAS PUT ME AND MY FAMILY AT RISK. THE LAST TIME IT FAILED, I CRACKED A

REAR HEATER HOSE WEAR TOO EASILY, CAUSING BREAKAGE IN THE HIGH PRESSER HOSE TO REAR HEATING COILR DUR TO NO PRTECTION FROM THE NATURAL ELIMENTS , CONSIDERING THAT THE VEH. IS A 4X4 ALL WHEEL DRIVE THIS MAY CAUSE ANTI-FREEZ FLUID LEAGAGE WITHOUT OWNERS KNOWLEDGE.*AK

A FEW MONTHS AGO THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE# 99V213000 SUBJECT: LIFT SUPPORT BRACKET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. DURING THE REPAIR, THE OWNER NOTICED A CRACK WHERE THE LIFT CONNECTED TO THE GATE. THE MECHANIC SAID IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECALL. RECENTLY, THE LIFTGATE WAS OPENED. IT SEPARATED AND FELL ON THE OWNER. THE OWNER REQUESTED A CALL BACK. *AK *SCC *JB
THE POWER STEERING BELT SIMPLY SLIPPED OFF. I AM LUCKY NOT TO HAVE BEEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY. I PULLED THE CAR TO A SAFE AREA, BUT STRAINED MY NECK IN THE PROCESS. I HAVE NOW LEARNED THAT CHRYSLER HAS UPDATED THIS STEERING BELT SYSTEM WITH A PRODUCT THAT BOLTS THE BELT TO THE FRONT PULLEY ACTING AS A GUIDE RAIL. WHICH OTHER CARS HAVE? I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IF THIS IS AN OFFICIAL RECALL AND THIS IS WHY I'M COMMUNICATING WITH YOU. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME FIND OUT. THIS SITUATION IS VERY DANGEROU

CONSUMER HAD TO REPAIR ANTI- LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM 2 WEEKS AGO WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. VEHICLE HIT A SIDE RAIL. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT PROBLEM.*AK
WHILE DRIVING, SMOKE CAME OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, DEALER STATED THAT WHEN THE MANUFACTURER ASSEMBLED THE WIRING HARNESS, ALL FUSIBLE LINKS WERE TAPED TOGETHER, CAUSING IT TO GET HOT AND MELT, THE HEAT GENERATED THE PLASTIC TO CATCH FIRE AND BURN ALL OF THE WIRES. *SLC
LIFTGATE SUPPORT ARM CAME LOOSE, AND LIFTGATE SLAMMED SHUT, AND GLASS SHATTERED. GLASS FLEW ABOUT 15 FEET, CONSUMER FELT THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE CHILDREN WERE PRESENT, AND CONSUMER WAS CUT.*AK
