TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 CHRYSLER CONCORDE. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 2-5 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER WAS WEARING A SEAT BELT, BUT SUSTAINED NECK INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND IS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN INSPECTED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 107,034.

MY DAUGHTER WHO IS A NEW DRIVER WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE TO AROUND 90-95 MPH, SHE HIT THE BRAKES AND BEGAN TO LOSS CONTROL OF THE CAR , IT WAS RAINING AND THE ROADS WERE WET. WHILE TRYING TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER CAR SHE BEGAN TO SLIDE ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AND HIT THE CENTER BARRIER WALL . SHE HAS A LOT OF BRUISING AND SCRAPES LUCKILY NOTHING MAJOR. THE CAR WAS TOTALED. *JB
DT: THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE FUEL RAIL,, AND WHILE DRIVING THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE. THE CONSUMER WAS NEVER NOTIFIED ABOUT THE RECALL. THE RECALL INFORMATION WAS FOUND THROUGH A CHRYSLER WEBSITE, AND CONSUMER PUT IN THE LAST EIGHT DIGITS OF THE VIN AND THEY WERE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONSUMER'S SON CONTACTED CHRYSLER THIRTY TIMES , AND THEY ADVISED THE CONSUMER TO TAKE THE CAR TO A DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THERE WAS

AFTER HAVING RECALL 98V130000 DONE FOR FUEL SEAL, THE PROBLEM REOCCURRED. VEHICLE WAS OCCUPIED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.*AK THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT, CONSUMER STARTED THE VEHICLE SMELLED OF GASOLINE. CONSUMER DROVE THE VEHICLE APPROX. 15 MILES. CONSUMER OPENED THE HOOD AND GASOLINE WAS COMING OUT OF THE MOTOR. CONSUMER WENT TO TURN THE KEY TO TURN ON THE DEFROSTER WHEN THE VEHICLE BURST INTO FLAMES. THE BRAKES WERE ALSO INOPERATIVE. *JG

RECALL 98V184000 WAS DONE ON FUEL O RINGS, TOOK TO DEALER AND DEALER INDICATED FIRE WAS CAUSED BY OIL ON MOTOR.*AK CONSUMER STATES SHE HAD BEEN SMELLING GAS FOR ABOUT 7-8 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FIRE, CONSUMER FEELS THAT THE FIRE STARTED AROUND THE FUEL RAIL O-RING. *JB
I NOW HAVE PERMANENT INJURIES FROM THE ACCIDENT AS WELL AS MY DAUGHTER. WE ARE NOT SURE YET OF HER EXTENT SINCE SHE IN ONLY 3 YEARS OLD. NO SAFETY DEFECT MENTIONED. *AK
CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ALSO, SEAT BELTS DID NOT LOCK UP UPON IMPACT, CAUSE UNKNOWN.
