SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:BRAKE FLUID LOW WARNING:SWITCH/SENSOR/FLOAT
General Motors (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Chevrolet Silverado Medium Duty 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD vehicles. The brake pressure sensor assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch and cause a short circuit.

The contact owns a 2023 GM GM515. The contact stated that the vehicle was designed with a 12-Volt power brake booster auxiliary pump. The contact stated that upon parking and turning off the vehicle, the power brake booster auxiliary pump was running and making a loud sound. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the pump stopped running; however, the failure recurred while the vehicle was turned off. The brake warning light was illuminated.
