I was leaving my farm property after loading my truck and tailgate and drove home 20 miles. At some point in the drive my tailgate dropped and fell onto the trailer tongue. This caused damage to my tailgate. I have called the dealer and they informed me there was a recall on the tailgate latch but they completed the work on the recall defect. The transmission valve has gone bad a few thousand miles outside of warranty. This part has widely been recalled in Silverados up to 2022 but is not including 2024 yet. This is the same issue, that I also had with my Chevy Tahoe last August. Please include 2024 2500 Silverados.
