From the initial report, the driver was over speed limit. However, the airbags DID NOT deploy that could have potentially saved his life.
My husband just had a wreck last night. His gas pedals got stuck causing him to lose control of the truck and the truck to spend around in the middle of the street. It hit another car and a telephone pole before jumping the curb and landing in a field. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY ON ANY PARTS OF THE TRUCK THAT WAS IMPACTED BY THE WRECK. THE BRAKE LINE RUSTED OUT AFTER LESS THAN 100,000 MILES AND NEEDED TO REPLACE THEM ALL. NOW WITH 173,000 MILES THE GAS LINES ARE LEAKING AND THE FRAME IS RUSTED SO BAD THAT IT CANNOT BE PUT UP ON A LIFT TO FIX THE BRAKE LINES.

NOTICED LOTS OF FRAME RUST AND SHOCK SUPPORT COMPLETELY RUSTED AWAY. MY WHOLE FAMILLY HAS THE 02 TO 06 CHEVY PICKUPS AND IT SEEMS THERE FRAMES ARE ATLEAST TWICE AS THICK (MEASURING IN THE NON RUSTED SECTIONS).
