A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD AND LOWER BACK. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. I AM A PRIVATE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SERVICE PERSON, AND HAVE IDENTIFIED TWO SOFTWARE DEFECTS IN THE BATTERY PACK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USED IN THE 1997-1998 MODEL CHEVROLET S-10EV ELECTRIC TRUCK. THE VEHICLE NOTED IN THIS COMPLAINT HAD BEEN COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY A FIRE THAT BEGAN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS CHARGING AT A PUBLIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION. I THINK THAT GM NEEDS TO MAKE REPLACEMENT CABLES THIS VERY DANGEROUS AND IF YOU WERE LOADING SOMETHING IT COULD SLID OFF THE TAILGATE AND HURT THEMS

1998 CHEVY S-10 PICKUP TRUCK. BOTH TAILGATE CABLES BROKE WHILE STANDING ON TAILGATE RESULTING IN A FALL TO THE GROUND. BOTH CABLES ARE CORRODED AT THE MID POINT WHERE THEY FOLD WHEN CLOSING THE TAILGATE.
