CONSUMER STATED THAT HIS SON WAS DRIVING ALONG AT A SPEED OF 25-30 MPH WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED IN FRONT OF HIM. THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE STATED THAT HIS SON APPLIED HIS BRAKES PLENTY OF TIMES, BUT THE VEHICLE KEPT TRAVELING AT THE SAME SPEED. ALSO, HE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEVER SLOWED DOWN, WHICH CAUSED HIM TO PLOW RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF THE PERSON'S VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE OTHER VEHICLE'S AIR BAG TO DEPLOY, INJURING THE PASSENGER SOME. CONSUMER STATED THAT AFTER RESE
MY 1994 CHEVROLET S-10 WIND SHIELD WIPERS COME ON WHEN THEY WANT AND GO OFF WHEN THEY WANT. THEY COULD CAUSE A SEVERE HAZARD WHILE DRIVING IN ADVERSE CONDITIONS. CHEVROLET HAS A RECALL ON THE SAME PROBLEM FOR 1995 AND ABOVE AND THEY WON'T FIX OUR PROBLEM. THE PROBLEMS ARE THE SAME AND CHEVROLET SAID, "THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE"! IN SITUATIONS WHERE EMERGENCY STOPS ARE NEEDED ON ROAD SURFACES THAT ARE COVERED WITH GRAVEL, WET, OR OTHERWISE TRACTION CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENT, THE BRAKES ARE NOT RELIABLE. THE DESIGN OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM OF THIS CLASS VEHICLE IS FAULTY, AND PRODUCES UNRELIABLE PREFORMANCE AT TIMES WHEN ONE WOULD EXPECT RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE PERFORMANCE. I WAS SLOWING TO A STOP SIGN ON LEVEL GROUND DURING HEAVY EARLY MORNING FOG. I WAS GOING ABOUT 35 MPH. I PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD NO BRAKES AT ALL. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES BEFORE WHEN I WAS COMING TO A STOP SIGN AT THE TOP OF A HILL NEAR MY HOME. I RAN THE STOP SIGN AND HIT A LIGHT POLE.
