AT A BACKED UP STOP LIGHT THE VEHICLE WAS IN NEUTRAL WITH THE BRAKE ON. IT WAS HIT AT APPROX 35-40 MPH WHICH CAUSED IT TO RUN INTO A FORD MUSTANG. IN THAT PROCESS THE SEATS HAD BROKEN LETTING THE PASSENGERS LAY ALL THE WAY BACK IN THE EXTENDED CAB. SEAT BELTS WERE BEING USED. THERE WERE NO WAYS OF CORRECTING THE PROBLEM BUT GET NEW SEATS. IF YOU WERE ABLE TO DO SO. *NM
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED MOTOR TROUBLE THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE.*MR *PH WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE ENGINE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER PULLED OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER TO ATTEMPT REPAIRS WHEN THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE HOOD AND ENGINE COMPARTMENT. *NM

CONSUMER WAS EXITING ONTO FREEWAY & APPLIED BRAKES, ABS KICKED IN & THE HYDRAULIC MOTOR STARTED MAKING NOISE. IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS APPLYING & RELEASING. CONSUMER PRESSED BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR & IT WOULDN'T STOP. THIS RESULTED IN A LOW SPEED REAREND COLLISION. CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 99V193000 DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE. BUT WAS TOLD THAT WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED . ALSO, MANUFACTURER ASSUMED NO RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE OF AGE OF VEHICLE. THEY DID NOT ENCOURAGE CONSUMER TO DRIVE VE
ABS SYSTEM LOCKED UP CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SKID AND OVER TURN ON SNOW COVERED ROAD. YH
THROTTLE STUCK, CAUSING THE VEHCIEL TO ACCELERATE, RESULTING IN A MINOR COLLISION. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON 1-5 ENTERING THE VANCOUVER-PORTLAND DRAW BRIDGE. WHEN A CAR STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME IN THE LEFT HAND LANE. I DYNAMITED MY BRAKES AND MY BLAZER DID NOT STOP IN THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF TIME. IT FELT LIKE I HAD A 4,000 POUND TRAILER PUSHING ME. I FEEL THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM SHOULD HAVE STOPPED ME SOONER THAN IT DID. IT TOOK 6 TO 10 SECONDS WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLEANTY OF TIME. ON JULY 22, 1999 THE EUGENE REG. GUARD PRINTED AN ARTICLE TITLED GM TO FIX MORE THAN 3.5 MI
WAS REARENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE & THE DRIVER'S SEAT COLLAPSED BACKWARDS. THE DRIVER HIT HEAD ON THE EXTENDED CAB SECTION. WENT TO MEDICAL CLINIC FOR WHIPLASH & CERVICAL RESTRICTION. *AK
I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE NEW AND MY BIG COMPLAINT HAS BEEN THE ABS BREAKS JUST ARN'T SUFFICENT, THEY HAVE BEEN KEPT UP TO SPECK AND JUST SEEM TO FADE AND THE STOPPING DISTANCE IS JUST ENTIRELY TOO LONG, AND I HATE TO LET SOME ONE DRIVE IT AS THEY CAN NOT GET USED TO THE STOPPING DISTANCE
WHILE DRIVING AND ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES THERE WAS PRESSURE, BUT VEHICLE DID NOT STOP RIGHT AWAY, IT STOPPED WHEN THE CONSUMER HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM. DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. *AK
TRAVELING AT 45 MPH, DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO STOP VEHICLE BY APPLYING FULL BRAKE PRESSURE FOR APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET. VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND CRASHED AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. VERY POOR ANTILOCK DESIGN.
