EXECESSIVE FUEL WAS BEING DISPENCED DOWN THE PLENUM FILLING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WITH GASOLINE. WHEN CONVERTER REACHED OPERATING TEMP. OF APPROX. 1800 DEGREES THE FUEL IN THE CONVERTER WAS IGNITED CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED INSIDE OF THE PARKING LOT. DRIVER GOT INTO THE CAR AND PUT KEY INSIDE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE STARTED VEHICLE. HOWEVER, VEHICLE STARTED SMOKING UNDERNEATH THE DASHBOARD. SPARKS OF FLAMES CAME OUT AND IGNITED A FIRE. FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED. *AK
BRAKES APPLIED AND CAR DID NOT RESPOND OR SLOW DOWN. RESULTING IN AN REAR END COLLISION CAUSING DAMAGE TO TWO CARS APPROX. $7,900.00 ON JUNE 30, 1999. SECOND INCIDENT JULY 28, 1999 STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND. FELT LIKE CRUISE CONTROL KICKED IN AND CAR WHEN FAST. SPEED APPROX. 12 MILES / HOUR. BRAKE PEDAL PUMPED HARD AND CONTINUOUSLY CAR SLID INTO INTERSECTION AND STOPPED. NO DAMAGE. DROVE CAR HOME SLOWLY AND BRAKES WORKED NORMALLY.
WHILE DRIVING AND APPLYING THE BRAKES CONSUMER WAS HIT HEAD-ON BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE AIR BAGS DID'NT DEPLOY. CONTACTED DEALER, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE ABOUT TO DEPLOY. *AK
ALTERNATOR BURNED DESTROYING THE BATTERY.

ABS BRAKES FAILED, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, RESULTIN GIN A MINOR CRASH. *AK
UPON APPLYING FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, RESULTING IN TWO ACCIDENTS. CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER. *AK
OWNER STATES THAT SHOULDER BELT DID NOT HOLD IN PLACE WHEN HE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, TRYING TO AVOID A CURB OWNER HIT A TREE. OWNER ALSO QUESTIONS THE BRAKES ON THIS VEHICLE ,THEY ARE NONE ABS BRAKES
