THE CONTACT SUSTAINED TWO BROKEN BONES AND TORN MUSCLES IN THE ELBOW OF HER LEFT ARM. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED BRUISING AND SWELLING TO THE LEFT ANKLE. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FUEL COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. ANOTHER FAILURE WAS WHAT THE MECHANICS CALLED SURGING. SHE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY SURGED WITH SPEED WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM THE STEERING WHEEL THAT ALSO SHOCKED HER FEET.
