General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2021 Chevrolet Malibu, 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, Blazer and Cadillac XT4 vehicles. The driver's seat cushion frame may have an improper weld in the power tilt-adjustment mechanism.

When backing up the vehicle, the front brakes squeak as if the wear sensor is engaging. The noise goes away and does not reappear for the remainder of the drive cycle. I took it to the dealer and the pads are not in need of replacement. The service writer stated that it is a 'characteristic' of the vehicle and GM is aware of the problem. I purchased this car used in early 2024. Shortly after buying it, the brakes began squeaking while backing out of the garage in the morning. This is the only time day this occurs.
